Sweaty armpits? No sweat! (pun intended!) This guide will cover the first steps that you need to take to cure your sweaty armpits and minimize excessive sweating.

Step 1 - Your clothing and you:
If sweat stains on your clothes are causing you grief and embarrassment, the simple way to avoid this is to start wearing darker clothing, making sure they are also light weight. This trick will naturally slow down sweating as the clothes are nice and light, and if you have found yourself sweating, it's much more difficult to tell when your clothes are not light, bright colors.
My other tried and true method is to wear clothes that are looser fitting around the armpits. If our clothes are a tight fit on our underarm area the consequence is a lack of air-flow and the retention of moisture, promoting unwanted heavy sweating. A shirt that is not going to restrict you in your problem area will do wonders for your sweating as it allows your body to breathe easily
Step 2 - Cool Down:
We will find ourselves beginning to sweat more aggressively when our bodies reach a higher than comfortable temperature. When seeing the first signs of a sweat coming on, try and find a cool dry place to stand in for a short time, a restroom or air conditioned area are excellent places to cool yourself down in. Blotting your forehead with some cool water will help with regulating your body temperature.
Step 3 - Keep Your Cool:
Agitation and worry about sweating can cause your problems to multiply. If you start to stress out at the first signs of moisture appearing, you will be more likely to sweat profusely. Sweat glands are triggered by our central nervous system and becoming worked up will certainly throw the switch into high-gear. Try to stay calm and find somewhere cool to take time out as above.
Step 4 - Keep track of your triggers when sweating:
Keeping an eye on the different situations and times that you sweat can really open your eyes to how you can minimize the frequency of sweating. Write down some of the times and situations in which you may be perspiring most often and be sure to note down in what context this might be in. What have you recently eaten? For me spicy food tended to put my sweaty armpits into overdrive. So I learned to eat more mild food in the company of others and save my favorite curries etc for the comfort of my own air-conditioned home.
Step 5 - Take advantage of the internet to help cure your sweating problem:
There's no need to go straight to the botox clinic just because you sweat more than normal. There are many great avenues open to you in the online world that you can fix your sweating problems permanently.
