Difficulty: Moderate. Things You'll Need; Antiperspirant
Step 1
Apply an antiperspirant to your hands. The antiperspirant that you use underneath your armpits can be used to stop sweaty hands. Use a clear, aluminum-based type to control the sweating. When you apply the product, make sure your hands are clean and dry.
Step 2
Lose weight. If you are overweight, it may contribute to excessively sweaty hands. As part of your regimen to cure the condition, begin a weight-loss plan under the supervision of your physician.
Step 3
Steer clear of any triggers that may result in sweaty hands. Avoid spicy foods, caffeinated beverages, hot weather conditions and stressful situations. These circumstances will likely cause your condition to worsen.
Step 4
Use talcum powder after bathing. Powder can help stop excessive hand sweating. A moderate amount should be rubbed into your palms after getting out of the shower.
Step 5
Receive a prescription for an oral medication to stop excessive hand sweating. Your doctor can give you medications that inhibit the production of sweat glands. Beta blockers or anticholinergic are the main medication types given to stop excessively sweaty palms.

In severe cases of sweaty hands, a doctor may recommend surgery as an option to cure the condition. The nerve that controls the sweat gland is destroyed through a technique known as sympathectomy.
